About Lawrence Neil Wealth Management Ltd

Neil started his career with the American Insurance Giant AIG back in 1996 and worked with them for 18 months before moving to Abbey Life for a further two years until he accepted an offer from J Rothschild Assurance (now St. James's Place) at the start of 2000. Over the next decade the business continued to go from strength to strength by providing detailed advice to clients throughout the UK with regards to all aspects of their financial planning. The business has seen much change over the years but latterly has seen the number of advisers within the practice grow to ensure that the level and detail of advice continues to be of the highest standards and so that an increased number of clients can access the level of financial advice they deserve and require.

In 2016 Neil identified that a Chartered Financial Planner needed to be added to the Practice to ensure in Neil's absence for whatever reason clients could continue to receive high quality advice and was delighted that Michael Brearley agreed to join after 20-year career at Skipton Building Society, Michael continues to provide advice to clients old and new. Two mergers with complementary St. James's Place Practices swiftly followed firstly Hindle Tyler Wealth Management who already worked from the Wykeham Business Park alongside Neil and then Julian Guymer Wealth Management from Harrogate. Since the addition of Julian Guymer's business, we have added a new modern Harrogate office alongside our Scarborough location. These offices alongside the modern high quality meeting rooms within St. James's Place buildings in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and London ensure we can see clients in the correct business environment throughout the UK.

Both Charles and Julian wanted to ensure their clients continued to receive the same personal service that they already provided but in a larger team environment. Therefore both Charles and Julian continued to work for a further three years to ensure their clients were fully integrated into the enlarged business and that the right Adviser for each client was selected.

To ensure that the business was not dominated by old men in suits and to increase the flow of new ideas into the business, Zoe Taylor was added to further the senior advisory team. Zoe has added a huge amount of energy to the Practice and is a favourite of our Yorkshire coast and East Yorkshire clients who require detailed inheritance tax planning. Latterly we have added several next generation Advisers to ensure continuity of advice can be provided for decades to come and to also ensure we have a more regional coverage as our clients can be found throughout the UK. Matthew, Alex, Gareth and Balina have all since been added to the advisory team and information on them all can be found in the meet the team section of this website but suffice to say we are now set up for the years to come.

At the start of 2022 a new dedicated mortgage service for existing clients, family and friends was added which is headed up by Emma Gordon.
